Marketers in PJs | Episode 09: MKT PGH Generator II Conference Happy Hour
As the year comes to a close, I wanted to connect with our Marketers in PJs one last time before the holidays.
And to my delight, Eric Pursh from MKT PGH wanted to join in the fun. That’s how this month’s Marketers in PJs happy hour became part of the Generator II conference from Marketing Pittsburgh. This 3-day virtual conference in November was focused on all things marketing and all things Pittsburgh. Generator II was packed with local marketing experts sharing their amazing tips and experiences with attendees-I can’t wait to attend again next year.
After the conference sessions, we all enjoyed kicking back over virtual drinks with our Marketers in PJs community. We saw some familiar faces, but also welcomed plenty of new ones! It was a good time all-around.
For this episode, I brought back some of our favorite Marketers in PJs panelists to discuss how things started at the onset of the pandemic, and where marketing is going in the future.
Cliff Notes Takeaway: Change Is the Only Constant
While we’ve proven that teams and marketers can shift effectively as the world erupts into chaos, we don’t have a blueprint for what could unfold six months from now, six weeks from now, or even tomorrow…there’s no telling what new developments will pop up (but we’re hoping they’re good ones).
Either way, it seems change is a factor we can all count on for some consistency. If we learn to embrace flexibility and uncertainty, we’re positioning ourselves to adapt to whatever new curveballs come our way.
Our panelists had a lot to say on the state of marketing, where it’s going, why it’s important for brands to be flexible and so much more. Let’s dive into what they said during our happy hour.
